Abstract
Abstract. The article focuses on description of a discursive model of translation in terms of the problem of modeling the translation process. The article uses general scientific methods of analysis, synthesis, idealization and modeling. The aim of the research is to offer a discursive model of translation relevant for the tasks of modern translation studies, based on well-known communicatively and discursively oriented models of the translation process.
The problem of modeling the translation process is relevant to the latest cognitive-discursive paradigm and is studied in an interdisciplinary framework with the involvement of the work of text theory, discourse analysis and communication studied. Translation strategies are included in the general scheme of interrelation of the concepts "text", "discourse" and "communication" and must be determined on the basis of the analysis of their interconnected components. The discursive model of translation integrates the analysis of different levels of discourse stratification: lingual (multifaceted analysis of the text as a macro-sign component of discourse); motivation-pragmatic (communicative task of the original text and its reproduction in the strategies and tactics of the source text and the translated text), genre; semiotic, based on the study of discourse modules that provide the process of defining the original text by the translator, its retransmission on the basis of a new semiotic form and the intended addressee and the signification of the text by the real addressee. Genre facet of the a discursive model of translation includes the analysis of interdiscursivity, which is perceived in the article as the ability of discourse to manifest its basic system-forming features in a non-typical situation, i.e. one that by its external features belongs to another type of discourse. Analysis of interdiscursivity as an important component of pre-translation analysis of the text correlates with the identification of elements of genre hybridity in the source text and their adequate rendering in the translated text.
