APPLICATION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC TECHNOLOGIES OF BINDING IN THE AGRICULTURE

It is known that when presowing processing of seeds of agricultural crops with electromagnetic radiation (EMP) of varying power and intensity, one can get positive results. A positive effect of the effect is observed in a fairly wide frequency range of the electromagnetic field from a static (quasistatic) electric field to electromagnetic radiation of the optical and higher frequency range. One of the range of electromagnetic radiation has a positive influence on germination and plant growth in the electromagnetic field in the high frequency range of 3-30 MHz, which allows to reduce the vegetation period and increase crop yields.

The purpose of the study is to investigate the effects of different modes of high-frequency electromagnetic field processing on the energy of germination and the laboratory similarity of corn seeds.

The paper presents the data of theoretical and experimental studies and shows the positive effect of presowing treatment of maize seeds with an electromagnetic field of high frequency (EMF HF). The investigations were carried out on the basis of the G3-41 generator and a specially designed chamber with flat capacitors with a frequency of oscillations in the range of 5-30 MHz. As the processing object, the maize seed of the “Emilia” variety was selected, which was processed by the EMF HF energy. Several variants of the effect on germination energy and laboratory germination were investigated. Analyzing the results of the research it was established that for the presowing treatment of maize seeds by an electromagnetic field of high frequency, the use of frequency 15 MHz and 30 MHz at an exposure of 900 seconds is most appropriate. That allowed to increase the germination energy and laboratory germination of the processing material.

It should also be noted that pre-sowing seed treatment with high frequency electromagnetic field has both positive and negative effects. Namely at a frequency of EMF of 25 MHz and 30 MHz with an exposure of 900 s. and 300 s. respectively, there is a significant deterioration of germination energy by 5% and 3% relative to control, and the laboratory similarity of the seeds decreased by 8% and 5% compared with the control batch.
