The article presents the results of comparative anatomical analysis of knee joint muscular system, which were carried out on some representatives of anseriformes series, Anatinae family - Black Swan (Cygnus atratus) and mute swan (white) (Cygnus olor). Fixation points, the degree of differentiation and the degree of each muscle and muscle groups development were found with the help of macroscopic dissection. It was determined that the mass of the flexor muscles of the mute swan is in 1.5 and of the black swan - in 2.3 times bigger than the mass of the extensor muscles, which is caused by a specific bipedal locomotion and pelvic limbs adaptation for flight and to swimming. Biomorphology, knee joint, muscles, black swan, mute swan.
