NEW APPROACHES TO TEACHING ADULTS IN UKRAINE (UNDER UPDATED LEGISLATIVE AND REGULATORY FRAMEWORK)
Abstract
The problem of education of adults in our country comes to the fore nowadays. The competitiveness of the individual, enterprise and the state economy as a whole depends on the priorities of the state policy in the field of education and vocational staff training, on the quality of educational services, their correspondence to the needs of trained staff and satisfaction of the needs of society as a whole. Knowledge in society becomes obsolete very quickly, among other things, because of active implementation of innovative technologies.
The main purpose of the article was to consider new approaches to adult education inUkraineunder the updated legislative and regulatory framework, and to highlight trends in vocational adult education.
They were analyzed law innovations. In particular, it was studied the concept of “informal training of employees” and the procedure of confirmation of the results of the informal vocational training, that is of the level of professional knowledge and skills acquired through informal training.
Particular attention is paid to the competitiveness of people aged over 45 years. It is analyzed the mechanism of receiving a voucher to maintain the competitiveness of this category of people through retraining, specialization, further training in professions and specialties prioritized in economic activities.
They are explained some aspects of the competency approach in teaching adults. Andragogical competence is considered as an integrative quality of the individual, which provides, among other things, the ability to help an adult to learn certain skills, and to develop creativity of an adult.
It is explained the specificity of andragogy. It requires a special interdisciplinary approach to the educational content for each of the specific adult groups, and the use of such a system of educational forms and methods that would allow taking into account age, professional, and personal characteristics of students.
It is supported the proposal of national scientists for inclusion andragogy worker to the profession classifier and the list of specialties of the specialty “andragogy”.
