AGRICULTURAL ADVISORY IN UKRAINE: PROBLEMS AND DEVELOPMENT
Анотація
Development of agricultural extension in Ukraine is an important element for further development of agriculture. The need for dissemination of agricultural knowledge among agricultural producers, their training and informational support respected in most countries. The success of the agricultural sector is largely dependent on its dynamic for the development of new technologies, the use of market conditions and organizational changes necessary for its economic development. This role is designed to perform agricultural extension system, whose mission is to promote the growth of incomes of farmers and rural population as a whole.
The object of study is the formation and operation of extension services in Ukraine.
The subject of the research is theoretical and methodological principles of organization and development of agricultural extension in Ukraine.
The purpose of the article - to analyze the current problems in the functioning of agricultural advisory services in Ukraine and justify possible solutions.
Ukraine is among the 150 countries for which agricultural extension is an effective tool for consulting assistance to many farmers and rural populations in solving their problems.
As of 01.01.2014 p. In all regions of Ukraine formed and operate 73 agricultural extension services, work and provide advisory services on a regular basis 679 professional agricultural advisers and 734 expert advisors, is covered by the state. Almost all extension services operate as non-governmental organizations of different legal forms (civic and charitable organizations, business partnerships, private enterprises, service cooperatives).
Note that the road to building an effective system of agricultural extension is a number of obstacles. These include, lack of advisory services in Ukraine, the lack of proper organizational and financial support from the state, cases of failure to comply with laws regarding agricultural extension and so on.
