RESEARCH OF PROBLEM OF STUDENTS SELF-GOVERNMENT UNDER PUBLICATIONS IN UKRAINIAN PERIODICAL EDITIONS
Abstract
The problem of student self-government is becoming more important on the modern stage. Our attention was given to research papers, this type of sources allows for an understanding of the basic tendencies of becoming investigated problem specific to different time periods. The bulk of reviewed articles were extracted from the journals "Higher Education in Ukraine", "High School", "Education and Management", "Native School", "The Way of Education" in the period from 1917 to 2010.
In the investigated works of Soviet period student government was considered in the context of the Komsomol organization; problem of leadership in education from 1917 to 1980 was not examined, while in the 80-th years of the twentieth century study the problem of active life position suggests to confirm about attention of researchers to the formation of leadership skills of pupils and students.
The issue of student education of in the period from 1991 to 2010 was studied in terms of spiritual formation of the younger generation; based on the values of democratic culture and use of individual approach based on environmental education, holistic approach to the educational system of the university, but most works are theoretical.
The appearance of publications on the problems of student self-government are observed from 1991 to 2010. However, they are largely conceptual in nature or contain diagrams of student self-government universities with commentaries, but the effectiveness of these schemes are not analyzed by authors and recommendations for implementation of student self-government in education system Ukraine are not provided.
The articles devoted to the problems of higher education in the period from 2000 to 2010, the focus of scientists was paid to the problems of the educational process on the principles of the Bologna Declaration. However the presence of a large number of studies presenting the educational process in the twentieth century, with historical and pedagogical approaches, provides a holistic view of social and educational environment in which self-government of students develop.
