Sanitary and phytosanitary measures(SPS)are concerned to specific risks that international trade creates for the health and life of humanity and animals and plant safety. Epidemiology (and epizootiology, as its component) plays a central role in the implementation of the WTO Agreement on Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures (SPS). Thanks to theіmplementation of this agreement, it is scientifically reasonable, adequate (equivalent), transparent, based on principles of regionalization and risk analysis.
