Abstract

Introduction. Mineral substances play an important role not only in physiological processes, but also in pathological processes and the adaptive response of an animal's organism. For the effective development of new drugs for the prevention of microelementosis, it is necessary to take into account the indicators of the mineral metabolism in the swines's organism. The research of indicators of mineral metabolism in animal saliva is a new method of diagnosis of microelementosis.

The methods. The research was carried out  on the farms of branch  “Antonov-Agro” (Vasilkovsky district of the Kyiv region (north-eastern biogeochemical zone),  the number of pigs is 2100,  the breed is Landrace × Large White × Duroc,  keeping system is in stalls, weaning of piglets in 30 days; type of feeding is concentrated. FH "Lemko" (Novgorodkivsky district of the Kirovograd region (central biogeochemical zone) number of pigs is 145, breed is Landrace × Large White, keeping system is in stalls, weaning of piglets in 30 days, type of feeding is concentrated. The sows were after the second and third  farrowing. The animals were divided into 2 groups of 7 sowseach. In the first group, the sows received the basic diet (control). The second group additionally received an ecofriendly drug "Suilactomin-oxy", which was developed by us (based on the results of the previous stages of the study),35 g per animal in a day with feed for 28 days (Experiment 1 and 2). The drug "Suilactomin-oxy" includes lactate compounds of Copper, Zinc, Cobalt, succinic acid, Natrium salt of humic acids and glauconite. The blood samples in experimental animals were taken in the morning befor feeding from the ear vene into disposable tubes after a general clinical examination. The saliva in sows was taken out without  special stimulation befor feeding. The content of Calcium, Phosphorus, Magnesium and Ferum was determined by the method of atomic emission spectrometry on Optima 210 DV from Perkin Elmer. Also, the conditions of keeping and ration of sows’ feeding were analyzed by commonly used methods.

The results. The clinical indicators of sows on the first day of the experiment were within the limits of physiological limits. According to the main indicators, the diet of sows complied with the norms.

In the blood of sows of the farms of northeastern biogeochemical zone at the use of the drug "Suilactomin-oxy" on the 28th day of the experiment Calcium content 39.2 % was higher, Phosphorus content 23.4 %,  was higer, Magnesium 21.3% was higer in comparison with animals of control group. In the blood of sows of the farms of central biogeochemical zone at the application of the drug "Suilactomin-oxy" on the 28th day of the experiment Calcium content was higer in 28.9%, Phosphorus content was 22.3 % higer, Magnesium content was 15.4 % higer in comparison with animals of control group.

Thus, the application of the drug "Suilactomin-oxy" to the sows of the farms of the northeastern and central biogeochemical zones of Ukraine shows a positive influence on the metabolism of Calcium, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Ferum and a high degree of assimilation of the corresponding minerals from its components. Such changes can be explained by the successful combination of huminate, glauconite, succinic acid and organic compounds of trace elements on the drug "Suilaktomin-oxy", this  is also covered in studies of other authors.

Discussion.

1. The content of Ferum in the saliva of sows in the northeastern biogeochemical zone was 14.49 ± 3.23 μmol / l, and in animals of the central biogeochemical zone it was 48.23 ± 4.88 μmol / l, which is 3.3 times higher ( P≤ 0.001).

2. For the use of the drug "Suilactomin-oxy" on the 28th day of the experiment, Ferum content was 1.4 times higher in the saliva of the sows of the northeastern biogeochemical zone, and in the saliva of the central biogeochemical zone Ferum content was 1.8 times higer, in comparison with animals of control groups.

3. The introduction of new methods of  non-invasive diagnosis of microelementosis and the development of environmentally friendly, non-toxic drugs for the prevention of disorders of mineral metabolism among swines is a promising direction of the research.
