Abstract

Globalization has gradually become the most influential reality, which organizes the living world of a mankind in a new way. Linguistic space serves as the intellectual interior of the progressive development of any national language. The formation of new lexical units depends, in particular, on the verbal creative possibilities of the given language, on the wide range of word-building means, the perfection of the word-formation mechanisms. Therefore, the progressive development of modern languages is, first of all, in the enrichment and self-improvement of their vocabulary.

In the current globalization conditions, the development and enrichment of national languages are happening extensively, due to the borrowing of ready-nominated units of the language-innovator.

The realities of modern life and the language problems associated with them have long been the subject of not only the discussions, but more and more often acquire the features of thorough scientific research. Every day we are convinced of the wide use of the Latin language in science, the transformation of cultural reorientations into Western European educational principles, and the rapid «Europeanization» of Ukrainian scientific terminology in the 21st century. - nominations are unthinkable without a variety of terminological elements of classical origin.

Terminological systems are changing with extreme speed and are being replenished with new concepts according to the changes of scientific knowledge level. Therefore, the problems of terminology as an integral part of the problems of general linguistics are in the prism of modern linguistics. The research activity of microsystems components, caused by the need to study the nominations of new concepts, is intensified.

The article analyzes the semantic field of the landscape terms and the names of the trees and shrubs species that accompany them; the terms are grouped by major thematic groups; the most widespread terms are considered, which help to form modern terms; the ways of terms borrowing into the modern Ukrainian language are defined.

The conducted research is based on the use of botanical taxonomy, the application of general scientific methods of analysis, synthesis and comparison. Professional terms with the seme «рослинність» are formed by calquing, direct (with subsequent assimilation of the linguistic corpora of the word) and indirect borrowingы. Donor languages are the languages of the European area (Latin, Greek, German, Italian, Spanish, English), and Japanese. The formation of modern terms takes place with the help of the most common finite terminological elements (-арій/-аріум, -тет, -ус, -ура). We can also state that the borrowing chains from other languages (Fr. < Ital.; Fr. < Sp.; Fr. < Germ.; Fr. < Lat; Pol. < Ital.) is one of the ways to replenish the vocabulary of the language along with the word formation.
