Issues of interethnic relations in the creative heritage of Panteleimon Kulish

Abstract. The article deals with the problems of interethnic relations in the creative heritage of Panteleimon Kulish. It analyzes the views of scientists about the passionate patriot of Ukraine, who throughout his life proved his boundless love for his native land and relations with other states. In the article the content of ideological and thematic priorities of the worldview paradigm of P. Kulish was highlighted. The objective and subjective factors that influenced the formation of the writer's views on the problems of interethnic relations are clarified.
The purpose of the scientific article is to study the problem of interethnic relations in the creative heritage of Panteleimon Kulish.
The result. The activities of Panteleimon Kulish made a significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian culture, namely the development of Ukrainian prose, poetry, dramaturgy, literary translation, literary criticism, linguistics, scientific and literary speech, pedagogy, political and philosophical thought, and journalism.
The tireless creative work of P. Kulish was aimed at enriching the culture and education of the Ukrainian people, raising their consciousness and national dignity. His role is powerful and indisputable. Thanks to his translations, Ukrainian literature became well-known in the world and brought the Ukrainian nation out of oblivion.
According to P. Kulish’s opinion the condition for future harmonious relations between the Ukrainians, the Russians, and the Polish should be their full political equality, mutual respect for historical values, and free national and cultural development.
A comprehensive study of P. Kulish’s views on various aspects of interethnic relations proved the originality of his thoughts on the development of relations between the Polish, the Ukrainians, the Russians, as well as the strategy of interethnic relations in the future. A considerable number of Panteleimon Kulish's ideas are topical today.
