Розум як «практична мудрість» в середньовічних наративах

Abstract

У статті зроблено спробу дослідити специфіку розуміння мудрості у пам’ятці «Стефаніт і Іхнілат». Всі притчі, байки, апологи зведено до пошуків принципів розумної (мудрої) поведінки. Поняття мудрість (розум) у пам’ятці має свої градації від «високої» до «утилітарної». Автором виявлено, що основним критерієм оцінки людської поведінки в пам’ятці вважається розум, який обумовлює успішну прагматичну активність його носія. На думку автора, цю світоглядну тенденцію можна умовно назвати «середньовічним прагматизмом», що є одним із різновидів секуляризованого мислення.
