Смерть у антропології антіохійської школи

Abstract

Статтю присвячено уявленням про смерть у богословській антропології Антіохійської школи, грецькомовного патристичного осередку у Сирії. Розгляд в єдиному контексті доробку різних богословів цієї школи, думку яких досліджують зазвичай окремо, дозволяє простежити специфічний підхід антіохійців до феномену смерті та розвиток їх ідей на цю тему. Спершу суто «вертикальні» погляди антіохійців на життя, смерть і воскресіння як Божі дари конкретній людині (сщмч. Ігнатій, свт. Феофіл) поступово поєднуються з класичними «горизонтальними» уявленнями про «природне безсмертя». На перетині цих бачень формується антропологічна концепція «двох катастаз» Феодора Мопсуестійського, з якої виростає етичне вчення свт. Йоана Золотоуста і Феодорита Кирського про страх смерті як рушій цивілізації і як педагога свободи. На цю ж онтологічну канву спирається антіохійська психотерапія депресії, спричиненої смертю близьких.
