NATURE RESERVE FUND OF VOLYN REGION
Abstract
The article analyzes the dynamics of increasing the number of objects of natural
reserve fund of Volyn region and its areas for the period 1972–2015. The structure
of the fund of protected areas for the major categories of protection and types are
considered. The results of cartographic analysis of natural reserve fund are
presented, on the basis of which are established the facts of placing some objects in
the territorial boundaries of others. This provides evidence of the unreliability of
the percentage value of protected landscape area, which is calculated by
mechanical summing of registered areas. It concludes on the rationality of the land
inventory of natural reserve fund of Volyn region on the basis of cartographic
