Purpose and contents of the independent work for students

The aim of methodological recommendations drafting and methodological recommendations content on independent work for degree-seeking students is relevant since the independent work implementation requires teacher’s advice which should be represented most appropriately in methodological recommendations. The major purpose of recommendations preparing is to give a teacher the accurate action plan on using efficient technologies, forms, methods of teaching, their practical implementation into the educational process. The approaches to methodological recommendations on degree-seeking students independent work were analyzed in the article. It was noted that content of methodological recommendations had been made dependent on their aim: there were recommendations for tutors and recommendations for degree-seeking students. There was given the theoretical basis for degree-seeking students independent work arrangement, subcomponents of independent work and its efficiency factors. There were represented the criteria for independent work content selection while integrative courses, learning through their didactic consistency. It was found out the correlation between three motive groups that caused the definite activity forms and person’s behaviour. The independent work was identified as a part of academic process. The requirements to independent work arrangement were gradated and advice for its arrangement efficiency was given. On the base of published methodological recommendations on independent work, test writing, Master’s research paper preparation and defense, individual scientific and research task performance etc. there was made a conclusion about supervising necessity and prerequisite structural elements of methodological recommendations on degree-seeking students independent work while foreign language learning as follows: explanatory note, theoretical and practical parts, recommended reading list, evaluation criteria, self-done tasks submission requirements, annexes.
