The impact of genetic engineering technologies on the transformation of society: a worldview aspect

The modern world of humans is a complex multilevel dynamic system that is in constant development. The development of this system undergoes constant internal and external influences, which in turn can lead to radical transformations of social being.
Nowadays, genetic engineering is one of the most important and at the same time most controversial areas of the development of scientific knowledge. Reflecting on this phenomenon, society and the scientific community are splitted into two opposing camps. On the one hand, those who advocate for immediate implementation of genetic engineering achievements, and on the other, those who seek to find out the consequences of genetic engineering techniques implementation.
One of the most significant achievements of biology in the second half of the twentieth century was the creation of the new areas - cellular and genetic engineering. The development of these areas can be compared only with the development of information technology, and two important circumstances contribute to this. First, it is a rapid development of modern molecular biology and genetics, which is based on advances in chemistry and physics that in turn allowed using the potential of living cells in the practical activity. Secondly, it is the need to create new technologies that will enable a person to meet his or her practical needs to address food shortages, as well as to create new techniques that can later be used in the health care system.
The existing scientific discoveries and implementation of genetic engineering has dramatically transformed the social space of modern civilization and opened up human access not only to the innumerable reserves of strategic resources, but also to the fundamental foundations of the world of living matter dramatically altering the historical evolution of planetary life in all its unimaginable totality.
Regarding a person with his/her imperfect moral qualities, who is able to use freely powerful high-tech technologies, the highest value of being, modern society is turning into a global risk society, which is formed at a fundamentally new level of perception of the surrounding world and their place in it.
