The place and role of catholic universities in modern european higher education.

Abstract

The range of problems of becoming and development of catholic universities is considered in the article, analyzed the impact of the Church on higher education of the European countries, as well as the defined features and differences between universities in the Catholic Church and classic European universities. The analysis of pedagogical literature shows that from ancient times religion had a ponderable value in education and education in general.
