Computer-assisted language learning in the process of learning foreign languages for future food industry engineers in Ukraine
Abstract
The article deals with the development of students’ communicative competence by means of information and communication technologies. Advantages of computer-assisted learning are enclosed. The utilization and integration of computer tools can assist students in acquiring a foreign language competency. The practicability, effectiveness and possibilities of ICT tools in a foreign language class-room in order to achieve learning outcomes are considered. Various language learning software which support the computer-assisted learning of English is discussed. In higher schools of Ukraine computer educational courses are widely used in the learning of foreign languages, especially English. The method of computer application in the learning of foreign languages is a perspective direction. Writing control assignments, oral assessment, dictation, essay, rendering and examination belong to traditional forms of language assessment, but they are not objective, exact and efficient enough. The computer-assisted language learning allows to control educational activity of students with high exactness and objectivity, and has a constant feed-back.Downloads
