THE FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF DENDROLOGICAL PARKS IN UKRAINE IN THE 11TH- EARLY 20TH CENTURIES

Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of historical and legal fundamentals in the origin and development of dendrological parks on theterritory of Ukraine. The time period is from 11th to the early 20th century. The author suggested the periodization of the formation and development of legislation on dendrological parks. The characteristics and defining features of each of them are distinguished.
The author investigated and concluded that theprocess of forming the legal framework of dendrological parks’activity as a category of natural reserve fund of Ukraine lasts from the eraof customary law and is continuous. Social, political and economic conditions in the different stages have different impact both to the construction of parks and the strengthening of the legal framework for their effective functioning: at a certain historical stage, there isboth active and slow development, and sometimes even full decline and destruction.
