The article deals with the issues of legal regulation of tribal affairs in Ukraine. It is determined that the regulation of relations in this area is ensured by the norms of several branches of law: civil, administrative, labor, financial, etc. The modern system of legislation on tribal management is an extremely complex phenomenon, which is not fully studied either in terms of its constituent elements, nor in terms of the interaction of these elements, nor in terms of the factors underlying the system.
The analysis of normative legal acts on issues related to the management of the breeding business in livestock farming in Ukraine gave grounds for classifying them according to the subject-thematic direction. A scientifically substantiated classification of legal norms on regulation of activity in the sphere of breeding livestock is developed.
Key words: tribal affair, classification, testing, gene pool, genetic resources, breeds.
