Concept of environmental information: problems of legislative interpretation

The article deals with the issue of the concept of environmental information. Attention is drawn to the national level of legal definition of this concept and the international level of legal definition. The history of the origin of the concept of ecological information is explored. The concepts of «environmental information», «information on the state of the environment» are distinguished. The problem of the occurrence of a tautology in the investigated concept sand possible ways of the irsolution is clarified. The article focuses on the problems of the legislative definition of the definition of «environmental information». Particular attention is drawn to the role and contribution of the Aarhus Convince as a special international document, which became the basis for defining this concept.
