Industrial labor protection regulations in agriculture: legislative innovation

The article analyzes the changes that have occurred in the legal provision of labor protection in agriculture at the level of industrial regulations.
It is concluded that the optimization of industrial labor protection legislation, which resulted in the adoption of new Agricultural Safety Rules and the integration in this document of safety requirements for all production processes and works performed in the production of agricultural products, was a necessary step for improving legal support for this area. The main shortcomings of the mentioned industrial regulation on labor protection were identified: lack of instructions on basic documents regulating labor protection measures and means; the actual absence of updated provisions regarding the consideration of current requirements for existing technologies, machines, equipment of agricultural production; absence of special security requirements for the sub-sectors of goat farming, shepherding, furry.
It is proposed as a priority area of work for improving the efficiency of the organization of labor protection at agricultural enterprises and simplifying the process of development of relevant local regulations directly for economic entities, updating the indicative labor protection instructions for workers employed in crop production, and developing indicative instructions for labor protection by type of work or occupation for the livestock industry.
