The article is devoted to the study of legislative support for the use of forest resources for the production of agricultural products. The urgency of the research topic is determined by the importance of the use of forest resources in agriculture in the Ukrainian economy. Activities in the field of utilization of forest resources for the production of agricultural products are aimed at securing public interests (food security, employment, etc.) and private ones (meeting personal needs in food, source of additional income, etc.).
The analysis of the legislative framework on the subject under study made it possible to conclude that the presence of a relatively isolated set of legal norms related to the purpose and legal principles of the regulation of the use of forest resources in agriculture testifies to the formation of a cross-sectoral institute of legal regulation of the use of forest resources in agriculture in the system of agrarian, ecological, natural resources law of Ukraine. Legislation on the use of forest resources in the field of agricultural production can be classified into separate groups. The criteria for classification are: the content of legal regulation, the branch of law to which the rule of law belongs, the nature of legal norms, the form of use of forest resources, and others.
Keywords: agrarian law, forest resources, agricultural products, agricultural production
