Abstract

The article describes the activity of the Department of Agricultural Machinery and Systems Engineering after acad. P. M. Vasilenko during the 120-year period of work.The role of head of Department in the organizational, educational, and scientific work of the Department is mentioned. The main scientific achievements of the Department staff are presented.Shows the main stages of life, scientific and pedagogical activity of Peter Mefodievich Vasylenko - outstanding scientist in the field of agricultural mechanics, pedagogue, academician of the All-Union Academy of Agricultural Sciences, academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences, Corresponding
