THEORETICAL BASIS OF THE MECHANISM OF ACTION OF OPTICAL RADIATION ON BIOLOGICAL SYSTEMS BASED ON PHOTOREACTIVATION

L. Chervinskiy, T. Knizhka, A. Romanenko, Y. Lutsak

Recently installed fotoreaktyvation phenomenon, which manifests itself in reducing effects on biological systems and organisms from shortwave optical radiation followed by a long-wave radiation exposure, attracts more attention biology scientists all over the world.

The aim of the study. Definition fotoreaktyvatsiya biological action of specific areas of the spectrum of optical radiation as a method of quantitative regulations impact on biological objects.

Materials and methods of research. The paper used methods of optical analysis within the quantum mechanical theory.

Results. Analysis of the phenomenon make it possible to realize fotoreaktyvation explanation of position fotoreaktyvation of quantum mechanical theory, the essence of which is based on quantum optical radiation energy (hv), acting on a biological object. There quantum absorption at a certain "permitted" perceiving energy level structure of the object. Quanta absorbed high energy atomic electrons are less energetic photons – are absorbed by the electron shells of molecules.

Based explain the process fotoreaktyvativity advisable to put a two-stage mechanism of photon absorption optical radiation at the step or cooperative excitation of electrons irradiated object. The possibility of such acquisitions theoretically grounded and experimentally proved by academicians V. Ovsyannikov and P. Feofilova in early 1970 and actively investigated in subsequent years academician D. Nikohosyanom.

With quantum mechanical theory of the structure of matter is known that the action of quanta (photons) optical radiation to the molecule of a substance changes the internal state of energy in these areas.

1. Increasing its electronic energy that electrons are excited to higher (allowed) energy levels and increases the reaction ability of the molecule.

2. Increasing the vibrational energy of the molecule caused by vibrations of atoms within the molecule redistribution of absorbed energy and increases the temperature of the molecular complex.

3. Changing the rotational energy is responsible for the rotation of the whole molecule or its parts and slightly changes the spatial structure of the molecule.

Conclusions

In the known structure of the organic components in biological objects and their optical characteristics determined: absorption, reflectance, luminescence, etc. with sufficient accuracy can predict the impact of a spectral optical radiation. This can enhance or reduce this impact over the long-wavelength radiation. So, are prerequisites optical photo-biological effect adjustment process (for example, possible to regulate the formation of the leaves or flowers of plants, their maturation period, etc.).
