Current situation in the field of production of poultry products in Ukraine
Abstract
Data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine for 2015 and for the first half-year of 2016 as well as information of literary sources in relation to development of the poultry farming for the above-mentioned period were analyzed and generalized in this article. According to the results, it is acknowledged that meat production in 2015 and for a period from January till June of 2016 is increased accordingly by 0.1 and 6.0 % in comparison with same previous periods (it was carried out by way of butchering for sale). Generally, production of birds' eggs of all poultry species at the agricultural enterprises of all forms of ownership for the period of investigation is decreased - by 14.3% in 2015 as compared with the year of 2014 and by 13.8 % - for the first half-year of 2016. Losses of eggs production is conditioned upon decrease of egg laying stock at agricultural enterprises in 15 regions of Ukraine, including in Donetsk region - by 75.1 % and in Luhansk region – by 44.5 % (the difference between data available of January 1, 2015 and data available of January 1, 2016). Absence of substantial increase of production of poultry meat and decrease of quantity of eggs is conditioned upon military operations in the East of Ukraine and annexation of Crimea.References
