Abstract

The paper presents the results of studies of muscles acting on the shoulder joint representative number of Falconiformes buzzard. We found that pectoral muscle in this type is 2.6 times more developed than all other muscles of the group combined. This is due to significant functional loads that arise during the lowering wing during flight. These loads are caused by overcoming air resistance in the gravitational field of the Earth.
