FEATURES STRUCTURE STANDS ALDER FOREST OF BELARUS

The purpose of this study was to establish the patterns of the dynamics of the structure along the diameter of the alder and black alder stands in the forests of Belarus for the use of this material in the development of commodity tables. The material for the present work was 229 trial plots laid by the specialists of Gomellesproekt in different forest sub-zones of Belarus under the guidance and direct participation of the authors in the task of developing assortment tables. The research method consisted in the use of conventional forestry, forest taxation and biometric methods. Analysis of the experimental material showed that, despite certain differences in the dynamics of taxation indicators of alder and black olive gray, their structure obeys the general laws established by AV Tyurin , F. Moiseenko and that is, the nature of the structure is closely related to the value of the mean diameter, which naturally increases with the increase in the average age of the stand.For all trial plots, the series of distribution of the number of trunks were calculated in absolute and relative thickness steps using the normal distribution curves (the Gauss-Laplace curve) and the generalized normal distribution (curve type A or Gramma-Charlier). The correspondence of the theoretical distribution to the empirical material was established by Pearson's (χ2) and Kolmogorov-Smirnov (λ) consent criteria at a 5% significance level. The obtained material is very extensive, so for a short summary, we give a brief summary of its analysis.It is established that the curve of the normal distribution only satisfactorily describes the real distribution only in single cases, because the asymmetry (α) and the kurtosis (Y) of the distribution series differ significantly from zero. The Gramma-Charlier curve provides a good approximation of our experimental data: the significance level is below 0.05.Further analysis of the series of distributions was carried out using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov agreement criterion [13]. Having carried out a pairwise comparison of the distribution series, we found that the distribution of trees by diameter in the age of less than 11 years and at 11-20 years is a single set with a confidence of 99%. Equivalence is also due to the distribution series in the age of 41-50 years and over 50 years. Middle-aged plantations have differences in series, exceeding the limits of 5% of significance level. Thus, in order to characterize the dynamics of the structure of alder stands by diameter, it is sufficient to have 3 ranges of distribution: youngsters up to 20 years old, medium-aged stands (21-40 years old), ripening and mature plantations older than 40 years. Thus, the following is established.

• The distribution of trees in alder stands of diameter and Σg is expressed by a curve of the generalized normal distribution - a curve of type A or Gramma-Charlier.

• Regularities in the structure of the entire age range of alder stands of black alder diameter are characterized by 3 series of distribution: up to 20 years; 21-40 and more than 40 years. For the development of commodity tables, it is legitimate to use a single unified distribution series for ripening, ripe and overmature stands.

• The accumulated numbers of the series of the distribution along the diameter are clear and are described by the equations of polynomials of the 3-4 degree.• The average diameter of the average tree in alder stands lies in the range of 55.6-57.5% (an average of 56.1%).
