One of the ways to solve the problem of employment of the rural population there is an apple trees cultivation in the farmlands, because it is the most popular culture in Ukraine and it is relatively unpretentious to the cultivation conditions. Herewith it is necessary to choose the right varieties and rootstocks respectively to the specific soil and climatic zone, while guiding by the “State Register of plant varieties suitable for dissemination in Ukraine”. It is also needed to resolve the legal aspects inherent in the law of Ukraine “On protection of rights to plant varieties”. Subject to the high culture of farming, it is possible to grow the quality planting material of apple, which will be in requisition among the gardeners-amateurs.References
