INFLUENCE OF NATURAL GAS’ PARAMETERS ON THE PERFORMANCE OF GAS EQUIPMENT
A. Koliyenko, O. Shelimanova
The article analyzes factors that affect the performance of fuel-burning equipment.
The purpose of research is to assess the impact of a fuel gas’ quality and hydraulic modes of distribution pipelines for efficiency of gas-burning equipment.
Studies were conducted in the course of inspections of fuel-burning equipment (FBE) on natural gas.
Factors influencing the thermal capacity of the burner, provided constant construction, are:
- calorific value of natural gas under normal conditions;
- density and humidity of natural gas;
- gas pressure to the burner.
Humidity of gas is a risk factor and wasteful fuel use, so you need to provide in knots of gas and technical projects recalculation of moist in the dry.
The pressure before the burner depends on the parameters of the gas network, gas control units, uneven gas consumption, the hydraulic mode of distribution gas pipelines and gas differential pressure value on the gas network.
The optimal pressure drop can be defined as the difference between the maximum and minimum possible pressure before gas equipment, in which the reduction of its efficiency can be considered acceptable.
Calculations for addiction, which proposed by authors, of low pressure distribution networks, show that if the deviation of the efficiency of the nominal value of not more than 10 %, the value of pressure loss of hydraulic fracturing to last along the gas customer shall not exceed 1,25 kPa, which is significantly less than the value today.
It was shown that reducing pressure drop will make it possible to achieve significant savings of gas by reducing its losses arising in excess of the rated pressure of gas for consumers located in the initial pipeline.
Conclusions
These factors in the impact of the magnitude of the heat capacity and thermal efficiency of household gas equipment make it possible to determine the direction of energy saving work in the area of gas transmission, in which the actual time such problems of energy saving almost not treated and not solved. It is shown that the gas distribution and gas transportation organizations have considerable potential for energy saving. The main factor in implementing relevant measures should be increasing demands as to the quality of gas and its modes to supply the requirements of regulatory documents.
