Nowadays, the frequency-regulated electric drives have become widely distributed. They are especially widely used in electric drives of transport vehicles and mechanisms. Therefore, the issue of the influence of the deviation of the frequency of current on the characteristics of working machines and mechanisms is relevant.
The deviation of the current frequency causes a change in the angular velocity of the engine, which, in turn, causes a change in the technological characteristics of the working machines.
The purpose of the study is to determine the influence of the frequency of the current on the technological and energy characteristics of scraper plants for cleaning manure.
It has been established that the speed and performance of the scraper installation are directly proportional to the frequency of the current.
Changing the frequency of the current affects the loss of power in the electric motor. Reducing the current frequency causes an increase in the specific power consumption in scraper units, and its increase - decrease. In frequency-controlled electric drives, when the current frequency decreases, compared with the nominal specific power consumption, it decreases by 2 – 3 % compared with unregulated electric drive, and increases with increasing frequency.
On the basis of the conducted research it was established that when the current frequency is reduced by 40 %, the efficiency of the scraper units decreases to 40 %, and the specific power consumption increases by 61 %.
