Abstract

Wind power installations are one of the most common ways to generate clean electricity due to the possibility of their almost unlimited application.

Reliability assessment is necessary to more accurately determine the electricity production of a wind power installation. To determine the damage caused by equipment unreliability, it is necessary to know statistical data regarding failures and recovery times of elements and the wind power installation as a whole.

The purpose of the study is to develop a methodology for determining the operational reliability indicators of wind power installations based on statistical data on the failure of their elements.

To fully quantitatively characterize the reliability of installations, reliability criteria are used. To determine the reliability of wind power installations, it is advisable to use the coefficient of operational readiness.

Prompt restoration of wind power installations after the occurrence of failures is one of the main methods of increasing the reliability of electricity supply. Actions aimed at restoring a failed installation are an element of maintenance. In this case, the effectiveness of the update is determined by the maintainability of its elements, the number of maintenance personnel, their training, the availability of control and measuring equipment, the organization of the restoration process, etc.

It has been established that it is advisable to assess the reliability indicators of elements of wind power installations and study the laws of distribution of their failures and recovery time using statistical data on failure, identified during scheduled monitoring, set out in maintenance reports, as well as information about current failures recorded in the operational monitoring logs of wind power installations.

This method for determining reliability indicators allows you to more accurately determine the parameters of the elements of wind power installations and can be used to predict their service life.

Key words: reliability, wind power installation, failure, statistical data, recovery time, coefficient of operational readiness.
