Catalog and Peculiarities of Its Design (on the Example of the Catalog of Own Names of Garden and Park Facilities Relating to the Cultural and Historical Fund of Kyiv)

Abstract. The article first describes the features of the catalog, which includes the names of landscaping sites that represent the cultural and historical fund of the capital. The purpose of the study is to analyze the components of this catalog, which includes its own park names.
Materials and methods of research. The research is based on the use of common scientific methods of analysis, synthesis and comparison. The work was carried out within the framework of the project № 110/551-pr "Development of the newest principles of creation of the register of valuable plants of parks and squares of Kyiv based on terminological standards".
Discussion. The creation of the Catalog was preceded by the filing of a filing cabinet, which included expanded information on gardens and landmarks (from the history of foundation to the present, their planning style, past and present status, etc.), taking into account the status of the object category, its current cultural, historical values.
Conclusions. It is proposed to make changes to the unification of park names, to refrain from double-spelling them, and to make proper remarks regarding the preservation, provision and updating of information on garden sites.
