Personal qualities of a social worker in assisting victims in emergency situations

The article reveals the personal qualities of a social worker to provide assistance to victims in extreme situations. The factors influencing the formation are revealed; formation of certain professional and personal qualities of a social worker. The concept of "emergency" is generalized, the boundary between extreme situations and current life events is drawn, as well as the differentiation of extreme situations. Four successive phases (stages) in the dynamics of the state of victims of extreme factors are characterized. Factors that cause differentiation of post-traumatic stress disorders have been identified. Signs of maladaptation are highlighted; groups of people affected by the Chernobyl accident.
