In the modern world there are paradigmatic changes caused by the full-scale invasion and military actions of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. The long and bloody war came as a surprise to the world in terms of character, content, and possible consequences. The heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people, steadfastness in defending their own freedom and the right to self-determination forced the world to reconsider its attitude to Ukraine. After all, during this war, in the eyes of the world, a renewed political subject Ukrainian nation is being formed, which is fighting for its right to exist with weapons. Such activity of Ukrainians requires a corresponding reaction from the world, because after February 24 the world has changed and is being tested for strength: from the threat of nuclear war to global food or migration crises. Another essential test for the world was the crisis of existential and moral choice. The aim of the work is to study the complex socio-historical circumstances in which the formation of Ukrainian political identity on a new worldview platform, when the rational order of things is displaced and replaced by irrational-volitional factors of life.
