ДЖЕРСЕЙСКАЯ ПОРОДА СКОТА В МОЛОЧНОЙ ИНДУСТРИИ США

Abstract

Проанализирована прогрессирующая популяция джерсейской породы скота в молочной индустрии США. Изложена история создания Американской Ассоциации джерсейского скота, структура её управ­ления и вклад 2150 активных фермеров в повышение прибыли джерсейских молочных стад.Представлены экономические преимущества использования джер­сейских коров в сравнении с их сверстницами голштинской породы, рост популяции животных этой породы как в США, так и в мире в целом, и ее прогресс по молочной продуктивности и качеству сырья.Указаны причины, по которым голштинская порода по уровню продуктивности уступает  своё лидерство.
