The relevance of the study is determined by the large-scale transformations of agricultural land use in Ukraine caused by the war, manifested in the reduction and structural changes in sown areas, landmine and other explosive ordnance contamination, soil cover damage, and disruption of production and irrigation infrastructure. The aim of the study is to substantiate the theoretical foundations and identify priority areas for the rationalization of land use by agribusiness enterprises in the context of post-war recovery. The methodological framework of the study is based on systemic and ecological-economic approaches. The methods of analysis and synthesis, comparison, systematization and generalization, as well as statistical and graphical methods, were applied. The concept of land-use rationalization by agribusiness enterprises is further elaborated as a purposeful process of improving the structure, spatial organization, methods, and intensity of land use in accordance with the actual condition of land, its productive potential, the economic interests of enterprises, and environmental and security constraints. The main components of land-use rationalization are systematized, and the transformation of sown areas is analyzed. It is substantiated that post-war recovery should not involve the mechanical restoration of the pre-war land-use model. The scientific novelty of the study lies in substantiating a differentiated approach to selecting directions for further land use depending on the actual condition of land, the nature and extent of its disturbance, security constraints, the potential for restoring its productive capacity, and economic feasibility. The practical significance of the results lies in their applicability by agribusiness enterprises to substantiate the prioritization of restoration measures, select appropriate options for further land use, and develop an adaptive land-use model in the context of post-war recovery.
