In the article the author researches a new and specific group of proper names of internet-discourse – nickonyms. Attention is focused on the changes in vector of communication: from “man-man” into “man – computer”. The given terms are analyzed on noted users of the Net: “epistolonium”, “nickonym”, “nick”, “nickname”, “net name”, “virtual proper name”, “computer name”, “pseudo name”, “virtual name”, “internet pseudonym”. The possibility of using term “nickonym” is based for giving names to email boxes. The main models of nickonyms are analyzed. It is proved that the most widespread are the models having done by the scheme: name + surname (24%), name + surname + digits (26%), surname + name + digits in different combinations (20%). It is confirmed that the general names related to the real anthroponym is almost 80%. Digits can indicate year of birth, important date, car number, flat number, etc. Besides, nominator can use the following signs as dot, hyphen, suffixes, prefixes, etc. It is pointed that the name of email box is divided into two parts: the first one user makes himself, the second is the name of server on which this box is registered. Clearly regulated requirements as for the creating nickonyms are absent, though it is recommended to create nickonyms considering the audience to communicate with, where this email box will participate. For the business communication is recommended to use nickonyms which were created by the mentioned models. Herewith near with letters symbols can appear not-letters ones: digits and different special symbols instead letters. The main functions of nickonyms for giving names to email boxes are recognized the identification and differential. Looking over the most nickonyms are the results of an individual self-presentation.
