Influence of pro- and prebiotics and some antibacterial preparations on the broiler chickens quality

Separate the effects of feed additive (FA) “Probix”, pharmazin and tilotsiklinvet on the toxicity of broiler chickens. Broiler chickens were formed into one experimental and one control group (5 chickens each). Chickens in the control group received the basic diet. FA has been added to the feed at a rate of 600 g/t of a feed from 5 to 27 days, and 300 g/t – from day 28 to 42. Antibacterial preparations have been used with water in the amount of 1 g per 1 dm3 of water. After the use of “Probix” meat was non-toxic, the relative biological value increased by 2.58% compared to the control, which indicates that there is no negative impact of feed additive on this indicator. The meat of broiler chickens, after the use of pharmazin and tilotsiklinvet, was slightly toxic. It has been found that tilotsiklinvet has higher accumulation in red muscles and pharmazin – white ones. In the experimental group of broiler chickens, where tilotsiklinvet has been used, during the study of red muscles they observed death of 14% infusions, 16% – active and motile, 70% – with unnatural movements, growth inhibition and pathological changes have not been detected. During the study of white muscles of broiler chickens of the experimental group, where pharmazin have been used, the death of Tetrahymena pyriformis was 20%, 6% – of mobile and active infusions, 72% of individuals – with movement inhibition, pathological changes of forms – up to 2%, and growth inhibition has not been detected. With the use of pharmazin and tilotsiklinvet at the end of the withdrawal period, broiler chickens’ meat reduced its relative biological value by more than 50%. The Tetrahymena pyriformis method will allow quickly evaluating the quality of the meat and, in the future, limiting the use of antibiotics in the poultry industry..References
