The article presents an analysis of energy consumption for creating a homogeneous environment in a biogas reactor using bladed mechanical stirrers with the aim of choosing an energy-efficient design of a mechanical stirrer for further integration with an electric heating element. For comparison, three modifications of bladed stirrers were used in which the blades are installed at an angle of 450, namely: a two-bladed single-tier stirrer, a four-bladed single-tier stirrer and a two-tiered blade stirrer with two blades per tier. The construction of graphical dependencies was carried out in the Wolfram Mathematica software package. An analysis of the types of electric machines used as drives of mixing devices was carried out. Taking into account the hydrodynamic, physicochemical properties and geometric dimensions of the bladed stirrers, the power consumed for mixing the substance in the reactor was determined. Mathematical dependencies were obtained that describe the change in the power of the electric drive depending on the change in the shaft rotation frequency of the bladed stirrers studied in the article. The obtained mathematical relationships are useful in further practical activities in the direction of calculating the required power for mixing substances, without the need for experimental research, which reduces financial costs and time for selecting the necessary equipment for building mixing systems for cylindrical biogas reactors.
